Timing training for athletes developed by drummers, the ultimate timing experts.

WHY RHYTHM IN SPORT?

  • A split second is often the difference between success and failure, yet targeted timing training is rarely integrated into sports performance plans. This is despite countless athletes using timing as an explanation for suboptimal performance – i.e. ‘my timing was just off today’, and similar sentiments.

Enter Rhythm in Sport, timing training adapted from the world’s ultimate timing experts - drummers - for athletes from the enthusiast to the professional. Similar to how targeted weight and resistance training improves sport-specific strength and power, Rhythm in Sport’s science-backed rhythmic training methods are designed to supercharge timing performance in your sport.

We’re here to, literally and figuratively, get the groove in your game.

WHAT IS RHYTHM IN SPORT?

  • RIS improves your perception of timing, emphasizing deeper levels of rhythmic detail in your athletic movements. This deeper understanding unlocks new levels of sporting precision and performance.

HOW CAN RHYTHM IN SPORT HELP?

  • Rhythm in Sport supplements, not replaces, your ongoing training. Starting with an initial consultation, we use our combined expertise in sport/exercise science and drumming/rhythmic training to tailor exercises to your specific context.

This always includes the creation of a custom training plan with two central components:

    • General rhythmic skills – the weightlifting of timing training

    • Applied rhythmic exercises – timing training integrated into sport-specific training exercises

To help you implement these training plans, we provide 1-on-1 and team-based consulting on both a one-off and ongoing basis.

ARE YOU A COACH OR TEAM?

  • We are happy to have a conversation about how we can work with your team to develop better timing skills. We also can accommodate teams looking to create and explore team building exercises while working on timing from the basic to highly advanced.
